If you are tuned into fashion trends then you know that sparkle and embellishment trend is huge for Fall. H & M's fall 2012 look-book featured many eye-catching embellished pieces that were truly a delightful festive treat to trend hungry eyes. My inspiration for this particular project are sparkly pieces from their fall lookbook that featured crystal embellishments placed strategically to look like beautiful rain of sparkles. Here is my DIY project inspired by their embellished baseball cap.
Here is a video of H & M's lookbook for Autumn 2012. For pictures click here.
Materials
Baseball cap @ Michaels.
Crystal stones in various sizes, colors and shapes.
Plan your colors and design in advance. You could use starry nights, futuristic galaxy, falling autumn leaves, winter snow flakes or anything you can think of as a base of inspiration for your choice of color palette and placement of sparkles.
Process - Visualize your design on the cap and place the stones roughly on the cap. If you like what you see then carefully glue the stones on to the cap. Let the cap dry overnight undisturbed.

You could also use this technique on sleeves, vests, belts, shoulders, collars, peplums, hemlines, bags or shoes. This trend is everywhere so you can find tons of inspiration on pinterest or tumblr.
